Crawford County Soil and Water Conservation District hosted its first countywide day conservation camp Tuesday at Aumiller Park in Bucyrus.
Thirty-eight youths ages 7 to 12, took part in a variety of fun activities to introduce them to the great outdoors. Crawford SWCD Education Information Coordinator Diane Sand said the youths were given a scavenger hunt worksheet, then headed out on a fossils, macros and woods walk. They also made insect boxes and took a walk to Unger Pond/Wetland to catch insects.
