Sonoma County Water Conservation Reminders

Water Conservation Reminders on the Way

6/12/2009

You'll be seeing new messages from the Sonoma County Water Agency soon, reminding North Bay residents to conserve water whenever possible. The agency is joining a statewide campaign called "Save Our Water", even as mandatory water cutbacks are affecting many parts of California. State water officials have ordered a 25-percent reduction in use here in Sonoma County, with even tougher regulations - a 50-percent cut - in Mendocino County. Several dry years have sharply reduced the amount of water in the Russian River, forcing the conservation efforts.
