MINDEN — The Sparta Ground Water Conservation District Commission meets at 3 p.m. today in the Minden Civic Center.
On the agenda: Sparta Web site update; reports of Sparta activities from Dr. Gary Kennedy and Lindsey Gouedy, of Louisiana Tech University; status on Department of Natural Resources activity and updates on legislative bills dealing with water resources; and presentations by Bobb Hobgood, of Ouachita River Valley Association, and Dennis Nooris, of U.S. Corps of Engineers’ Vicksburg, Miss., office.
The Long Term Planning Committee will meet at 2 p.m. and an information assembly for fellowship and exchange of ideas follows prior to the commission meeting.
